Gathering relevant documents before your first meeting with Joyce will help you save time and money.

These documents include:

  • pay stubs

  • tax returns

  • notices of assessment or reassessment

  • bank statements

  • insurance policies

  • pension plans

  • investment statements

  • medical and dental benefit plans

  • mortgage documents

  • loan statements

  • credit card statements

  • lines of credit

Other supporting documents may include:

  • marriage certificates

  • prenuptial agreements

  • birth certificates

  • marriage contracts

Remember to write down and tell Joyce about pre- or post-separation assets. These assets may include:

  • inheritance

  • gifts

  • insurance settlements

  • antiques

  • frequent flyer miles

  • timeshares

  • stock options

  • bonuses

  • deferred raises

  • prepaid insurance

  • other valuable items
